In the early modern period (1500-1800), women challenging societal norms faced severe persecution, notably through witch hunts and public shaming.
The so called "scolds" were humiliated using devices like the ducking stool and scold's bridle. Accused witches, often older and marginalised women, were tried unfairly and executed publicly. Despite the oppressive, patriarchal society and religious influence, some women resisted, sowing the seeds of early feminist thought and highlighting the ongoing struggle for gender equality.

Refunds
We only offer refunds if the product arrives damaged or is significantly delayed (postage delays which could be considered normal, or delays due to items being held up in customs will not be refunded). What constitutes a significant time delay is at our discretion. In either cases we may request return of the products so that we can dispose of them. The returns in these cases will be at our cost, and refunds can be withheld until the returns are received by us.
